The 2000 remake of the "Gone in 60 Seconds" action thriller sees Memphis Raines, played by Nicholas Cage and his crew - all of whom have diverse skills in the art of boosting cars - having to steal 50 cars within 24 hours. If not, Raines' younger brother will meet his end. The final car chosen to boost is a 1967 Shelby GT 500, nicknamed 'Eleanor'. It's a 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 in Metallic Pepper Grey created by Hot Rod illustrator Steve Stanford and made a reality by custom car designer Chip Foose.
During the movie, Memphis takes his crew to scout the final car to boost. As they arrive, they spot the '67 Shelby GT 500 parked in an underground lot among commuter cars. Having failed to steal 'Eleanor' previously, Memphis, attempts to outrun the police and deliver the car on time. It's a truly epic chase scene, with constantly elevating tension and stakes. The stunts pulled off with the GT 500 are also incredible to witness, from speeding to drifting to nitrous boosting and ramp jumping. The pursuit marked 'Eleanor' as one of the most iconic cars in Hollywood history.

The Eleanor is powered by a 600Hp 363 cui stroker Windsor V8 engine, with 4BBL APD Performance carby, roller lifters and roller cam, Scat crank, custom extractors with 3" Hurricane exhaust with X Pipe and side pipes, MSD ignition, Edelbrock manifold, CVR High Performance electric water pump, alloy radiator and huge thermo fan.
Gear are swapped via a five-speed T-5 Borg Warner manual transmission, one piece custom tail shaft and fully braced and modded 9" 31 spline Trutrac LSD with 3.5:1 diff gears. The Eleanor is also fitted with rack and pinion Billet power steering and 3 link RRS rear suspension with adjustable coil overs. Braking is via RRS 330mm 6 spot calipers on the front and 4 spot rear disc brakes. Billet pullies are also featured at the front of the motor.
The exterior presents in superb condition with $60,000 recently spent on a full repaint in the correct Metallic Pepper Grey with Jet Black Shelby stripes. The brightwork is in excellent condition with the trims, bumpers and badges sitting flush on the super straight bodywork. The underside is fully detailed and also 2 Pack painted in the Metallic Pepper Grey.
The interior has been fitted with beautiful Procar 1000 Shelby seats. The car features Air-conditioning and an all new interior including a one-piece headliner. The dash is fitted with stock Mustang gauges with an aftermarket Autometer Tacho, a replica Shelby timber steering wheel and the famous Go Baby Go Hurst shifter gear knob. There is also an aftermarket head unit with speakers in the rear.
The GT500 is riding on 17" US Mag Wheels with 235/45ZR17s Raptor tyres all round.
The Eleanor is fully engineered with full NSW registration until July 2026 and comes with the numbers plates 60 SECS.
