In absolutely stock standard day one unrestored and unmolested condition and running the matching numbers 170kW 5 litre V8 Windsor V8 and sought after 5 speed manual gearbox making this a great collector car for the Ford enthusiast. Finding a SURVIVOR EF II Falcon XR8 nowadays is pretty close to impossible. Especially one in the hero colour of Le Mans Red and specified with the 5 speed manual transmission. Ford boasted 170kw of power and 398Nm of torque from the 5.0L pushrod Windsor V8. Motoring journalists of the day loved the V8 burble and the mid-range acceleration, especially when paired with a five-speed manual transmission.

Considered a "true driver's car" the EF II series included distinct styling updates, such as a small ovoid air intake between the headlamps, revised bonnet air outlets, and a larger, more aggressive rear wing. 
One of only 84 XR8 Le Mans Red and 5 speed manual Falcons built, this one is in as close to original condition as possible. In rust and damage free condition, the XR8 has had a repaint to the roof, boot and bonnet due to minor clear peel. Door jambs, engine bay, boot and the sides of the car are original factory paint. All the original factory applied panel stickers are still in their place. 

The interior is all day one with the XR only Dark Luna Mist Sabre/Raceway trim presented in excellent wear free and super clean condition. All gauges work as does the factory A/C, power steering and power windows. A new Pioneer stereo with Bluetooth and hands free has replaced the original radio/cassette player. The genuine steering wheel, crash pad, carpets and door trims are also in excellent condition. All plastics, rubbers and hood lining are also in good condition. All glass is original except for the front windscreen. 

A local Ballarat car, the Falcon XR8 has covered an indicated 210,307 km from new and is supplied with two sets of keys and a remote. The Falcon is riding on the originals 16" Shark fin alloy rims with excellent 225/50R16 Federal tyres. In the boot is a spare, factory tools and clean boot carpet.

If you are looking for a super honest day one example of the much praised EF II Falcon XR8 then this is the one for your collection. A lovely driver and certainly a rare find in survivor condition nowadays.
