A original 3997 Ford Executive fully restored 1974 XB GT Falcon in Skyview Blue with cloth trim and a host of options, now for sale from our Sydney Showroom.
According to the Ford build documents, this GT is one of 1,930 XB GT Falcons built, one of 1,013 automatic XB GTs and one of only 32 painted in Skyview Blue. According to the Ford letter of verification, this GT was delivered as a 3997 Ford Executive vehicle in Victoria and factory optioned with the FMX auto transmission, Integrated Air-conditioning, Power Steering, Power Windows, Black Hood, passenger mirror, Superfringe radio and delete wax.
Purchased by the current owner in 2019, this stunning GT was resprayed back to the original Skyview Blue in 2013. The GT features factory Tutone bonnet and the interior has been fully retrimmed in White with the Black cloth inserts. The dash, steering wheel and all gauges are original and the volt, fuel and oil pressure gauges work perfectly. The integrated air-conditioning is ice cold, power windows work seamlessly as does the power steering and the factory Superfringe radio is fitted but not connected and a blue tooth Clarion stereo is fitted into the centre console.
The GT is running the original matching numbers 351 Cleveland 2V with Holley 750DP Performance carby, Pacemaker extractors, electronic ignition and factory integrated A/C and P/S . The owner has recently hub dynoed the car, re-jetted the carby and tuned the GT. Everything has been serviced and is working perfectly. A new battery has also been installed.
The XB is riding on 4 Bathurst Globe alloy 15" rims with Bridgestone Potenza 225/60R15 red wall tyres with 12 slot spare, original tools and a new boot mat.
The XB GT Falcon was the last of the original GTs and to many is considered the best road going Grand Tourer. Gone were the wild stripes and Super Roo badging and in their place was a well rounded more sophisticated Ford road car.
The GT comes with a verification letter from Ford, two sets of keys and some receipts.
