For sale from Perth, WA is this stunning and rare fully restored 1982 Ford XD Falcon GL 5.8L V8 ex. Police car presented in Sno White.
A wolf in sheep's clothing, this Falcon was a special order Police Pack XD built to help the WA Police chase down the bad guys. This beast was optioned with the Aussie manufactured 351 Cleveland V8, FMX automatic and a myriad of options including Power Steering, Sports Instrumentation, Integrated Air-conditioning, LSD, 4 wheel disc brakes and Intermittent wipers. Police cars were also fitted with factory tramp rods, large capacity radiators and driving lights.
This rare to find XD Falcon has been professionally restored to its original Police Spec glory. Originally ordered through Anderson Ford in Perth in early 1982, this XD drives strong and has been mechanically perfectly maintained. All matching numbers with that sweet sounding 351 Cleveland burbling along putting the power down through the fully serviced FMX gearbox and the mild sports exhaust that produces a lovely good old V8 burble.
The XD was fully restored 4 years ago and has been used sparingly since. The body is rust and damage free. The interior has been fully retrimmed with new seat coverings in Brown Cloth with original door cards and new hood lining and carpets. The dash, steering wheel are instruments are factory original. The A/C is working and cold but could do with a regas.
In the boot is a carpet, spare wheel and original set of tools in the original polystyrene casing. The XD is riding on widened 7" steel wheels with XC chrome caps as per the original Police specification and near new Maxxis 215/60R14 rubber all round.
Recently fully serviced in June 2025 with a new battery and fuel sender fitted at that time.
A rare find for the Falcon collector or Police car enthusiast. Supplied with the original owners manual, new car brochure and a letter of verification from the Ford Motor Company.
