For sale is a one of one build ex. Ford Executive delivered 1977 XC Fairmont GXL 351 T-Bar auto in Satin Spruce with matching trim and heavily optioned including a Golde Sunroof. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

The GT name plate may have been gone from the XC model range but the XC Fairmont GXL 5.8 Litre V8 was a GT in every sense of the word. 

According to motoring journo Peter Wherrett from the well received Torque program that aired on the ABC in the 70s, the car was in his opinion, the best sorted Falcon he had ever driven. He loved the interior design, the supportive seats and the dash layout. He said the brakes were spectacularly good and the performance was not quite a GT but certainly not far off it. 

For sale is a rare to find example of the XC Fairmont GXL 351 V8. In Satin Spruce with matching Jade cloth trim, this stunning GXL is presented in excellent condition throughout and has been maintained with excellent care and attention to detail. 

According to the Ford Verification letter, the XC GXL was ordered as a Ford Lease vehicle for a Brisbane based Ford Executive. The XC GXL was ordered with a whole host of optional extras including a Golde Wind Back Sunroof, factory Integrated Air-conditioning, Power Steering, AM/FM Multiplex push button radio, Stereo Cassette Tape Player, Power Windows, Dual Exhaust and a Tan Vinyl Roof. The XC GXL comes with the Ford Verification letter and two sets of keys and is showing a genuine 125,076 klms from new. 

The XC GXL has had a full respray in the factory Satin Spruce in 2012 with original paint in the engine bay and boot. During the respray the original Tan Vinyl roof was not refitted. All chrome, stainless and glass is in excellent condition. 

The engine is all matching numbers and has been recently refreshed with new pushrods & springs (paperwork provided) and a Holley Sniper Two fuel injection fitted. The GXL features genuine 4V heads and the original Carter Thermo Quad carby and factory A/C Compressor are supplied with the car.  Mechanically the car has been serviced thoroughly with new parts fitted as required to keep this car in perfect running order. The current owner delivered the car to our showroom from Canberra and the GXL drives beautifully on the freeway.  

The interior is in amazing condition with the seat trims all in good original condition, the carpets, hood lining and door cards all in excellent condition as is the dash, gauges and steering wheel. Even the clock work and the cassette player still work!

The car runs 15" Bathurst style Globes and comes with a set of 5 original factory Fairmont GXL alloy rims. 

The boot features an aftermarket 90L fuel tank, boot carpet, spare and tools.
