For sale is a rare to find HSV VS Senator in Botanica Mica running the optional 215i stroker 5.7 Litre V8, 4 speed auto gearbox and Hydratrak rear end. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.
HSV's VS Senator was designed as a luxury-focused performance cruiser of the VS Commodore generation. Buyers could choose the standard 185i 5.0-litre pushrod V8 engine generating 185 kW (248 hp) at 4800 rpm, or the optional 215i 5.7-litre "stroker" V8 engine pushing out 215 kW (288 hp) at 4800 rpm
Unlike the firmer, track-oriented GTS or ClubSport, the Senator utilised a softer touring suspension setup designed to absorb long-distance road imperfections. Subtle body enhancements, unique alloy wheels, and understated executive-class interior appointments offered a mature alternative to the louder styling packages common in the mid-90s muscle car scene.
For sale is Build No. 884 a VS Senator in sought after Botanica Mica with Grey Howe leather trim and factory optioned with the 215i stroker V8 and 4 speed automatic gearbox. This HSV has covered a genuine 211,123 Klms from new and presents a great opportunity to secure a well priced rare HSV offering.
Mechanically, the Senator runs the matching numbers 215 kW stroker Aussie V8 engine mated to the 4 speed automatic gearbox. The Senator runs and drives. It has been part of a large car collection for the last 10 years and may need some servicing attention.
On the inside, build# 884 is in good original condition with the interior seat coverings in good condition with wear commensurate with the genuine 211,123 Klms covered since new. The VS series 11 features the first of the driver and passenger side airbags for the Commodore. And the Senator is fitted with luxury features including factory Air conditioning, Howe leather seats, power windows and cruise control.
The Senator has had an external repaint. The VS is riding on the factory 17" Senato alloys with Bridgestone Potenza 235/45R17 tyres all round.
