For sale is one of the most original unrestored HK GTS Monaro Bathurst 327s we have ever come across. A true SURVIVOR quality car, best described as a Monaro reference car and guaranteed to blow your mind. Offers over $300,000 invited. For sale from a serious muscle car collection in Perth, WA.
In totally factory original condition, this Bright Blue Metallic HK 327 Monaro is presented in day one maintained unrestored condition with full documentation including log books and a genuine 44,623 miles on the clock.
Originally purchased by Mr. Robert Partington of Wayville, South Australia on the 20th of September 1968 from Smith Motor Company of Port Adelaide, SA, the HK 327 was ordered in the stunning combination of Bright Metallic Blue with Black Vinyl trim.
The Monaro was registered with SA plates RLL-205 and remained as the family car until 1971 when it was sold to the second owner also in Adelaide, a Mr. Walter Dix. The car remained in the hands of the Dix's for many years and was then acquired by a well known Adelaide based Holden Monaro restorer who acknowledged that the car was just too good to restore so he decided to retain the car in its original condition.
Describing this car with words only will never be enough as the car is of true reference standard. Its a True Original Survivor with all original paint, interior and all running gear. The GTS has been maintained with servicing as required. The GTS shows 41,226 miles on the clock with its original Log Books, Owners Manual & Air Chief Radio manual. The Monaro also comes with period magazines featuring the then new Monaro GTS 327 as well as factory new car brochures.
The numbers matching 327 motor has never been removed from the Monaro. All the original rare 327 components are all intact, including the original Rochester Quadrajet carby, original exhaust manifolds, spark plug heat shields, fan shroud, big nut master braking system, AC Delco fuel pump and factory quad exhaust outlets. The gearbox is the factory Saginaw 4 speed manual and 10 Bolt Salisbury LSD.
The factory fitted compliance plates have never been removed and all numbers match the original details recorded in the log books. The original date coded Saginaw, date coded tail shaft and date coded 10 Bolt Salisbury Differential are all intact and have never been removed. The underside features the original inspection marks, Production line coded stamps, Painted date codes, Chalk marks and factory over-spray all rarely seen on any Holden car from this period.
The Interior is completely original including the original seats, carpet, roof lining, door cards, Steering wheel, Gauges, Dash top and Glove box. The original 11 transistor Air Chief push button radio, original rear speaker with fader control and the super rare genuine blue tip antenna are also still in place.
The boot area is all intact with the original matt, jack, tools and original date coded spare fitted with a red band D70 tyre. The wheels & hubcaps are all the original ones to the car, all date coded with Red Band D70 tyres as per original.
All the original date coded glass is in place including the front windscreen which is considered so rare !! Even the exterior mirror is the original one, as fitted from the production line.
This car is of reference standard, with its completeness just simply amazing. Its ready to be entered in any Monaro Nationals or enjoy owning one of the most original HK327 Monaros in Australia.
