1974 HOLDEN KINGSWOOD HQ for sale
Price: $79,990
Now for sale this tough sleeper HX Kingswood with a 383 Chev V8, located in our Sydney showroom.
Presenting a very nice 1974 Kingswood, tastefully restored in Teal Blue with a White roof, and powered by a stout 383 stroker.
Equipped with a HX Premier front end and GTS guards, this vehicle was restored 7 years ago and received a professional 2-pack paint job, showing in excellent condition. The restoration included an all-new interior featuring seats, door cards, carpet, belts, and hood lining. The dash boasts a custom instrument pod fitted with all electronic Speedhut instruments, alongside a new period-look Bluetooth stereo with remote control.
Under the hood lies a healthy stoked 383 Chev small block with aluminum heads, a Weiand Street Warrior dual-plane intake, and a Holley Q-Series Quick Fuel 950 carburetor. It is equipped with roller rockers and a solid roller cam, MSD electronic ignition, and Pacemaker headers with a custom 3-inch exhaust. This impressive setup has produced an output of 365 hp at the rear wheels on the dyno.
Power is transmitted through a 3-speed TH350 transmission featuring a Quicksilver shifter, Stage 2 shift kit, and 2800 rpm stall converter. A custom tail shaft leads to a 9-inch Truetrac rear end with easy cruising 3.25:1 gears. The rear end is mini tubbed and fitted with a custom drop tank. The wheels are standard 14" Holden steel widened to 7 inches, fitted with 235/60 and 245/60 tyres.
This is a very cool turn-key classic Kingswood that combines cruising comfort with surprising sleeper performance.
