This stunning example of a '31 Model A Ford Hot Rod in custom matte black was built in Australia by Smith Concepts in Brookvale, NSW and sold on completion in 2023 to a Californian hot rodding enthusiast based in Australia. Owning a '31 Ford Hot Rod had been a life goal having been surrounded by incredible US muscle cars since she was 8 years old.  

Built in Australia to comply with Australian regulations, the build used an original full steel American body built in right hand drive. 

The motor was sourced from a 1959 Cadillac V8 390 ci Big Block and has been fully rebuilt in April 2025 with new bearings, pistons, rings and stage 2 cam. Receipts for this work are available to the buyer.  

The Hot Rod features: 

• 3 x chrome Stromberg 97's carby set up + polished finned frogmouths
• NOS Edelbrock 3 x Carby intake
• NOS Hildebrant finned aluminum valve covers
• Custom Straight pipe stainless and ceramic coated exhaust
• Disc brakes on the front and drum on the rear
• Custom metal visor and '32 Ford grill
• 15x5 front wheels and 15x7 rear with Vintique OEM FORD Chrome wheels with Coker Classic White walls
• Turbo 400 Transmission Auto
• 4-inch roof chop
• 4-inch body channels
• Quickchange differential
• 1940 Mercury Dash, digital speedo, custom metal door trims, 3 spoke steering wheel, polished steering column and Ginny Shifter with a custom "engraved knife" shift knob
• Black vinyl tuck and roll interior and top by East Coast Trim Shop
• Custom Black Matte paint and pinstriping by Kyle at Smith Concepts
• Chopped side window glass included but currently not installed
• Aluminium fuel tank and battery in the boot
• Full NSW Rego until August 2026

The owner has ordered a replacement front right hand tyre as the current white wall is defective. This is being shipped from the US and should arrive early December.
