1971 CHRYSLER VALIANT VH for sale
Price: $64,990
For sale is a genuine 1971 Chrysler VH Valiant Pacer in Vitamin C Orange with Black trim. According to the Valiant InfoBase, this VH is one of just 1631 original 4-door VH Pacers and is powered by a period correct 4.3L (265ci) 6-cylinder motor and an up spec'd 4-speed Borg Warner manual transmission. For sale from Perth, WA.
The Pacer was ordered with the 'A65' Hood dress up package, 'A95' interior dress up package including reclining bucket seats, carpets and a 3-spoke steering wheel plus the 'B51' brake booster. Purchased as a rolling shell in 2018 by the current owner from Narrabri, NSW, the Pacer features mostly original Vitamin C paint, black Pacer stripes and factory glass and chrome.
The aim of the restoration was to maintain as much of the original patina as possible while building a reliable survivor style example of the rare VH Pacer model. The largely rust free shell needed very little in the way of repairs. The Pacer features original paint on the roof, boot lid and top of doors and rear quarter along the LH side with new colour-matched acrylic paint to bonnet, front quarters and along the RH side. The restoration commenced in 2019 and was completed in 2021.
The Pacer came with a period correct 265cui HEMI engine which was completely rebuilt to E49+ spec with a wide-ratio 4 speed single rail Borg Warner gear box with short shifter selector and the original open centre 3.23:1 Borg Warner diff. The 265 was bored to 3.97" with a factory 2BBL inlet manifold, port-matched Holley 2BBL adaptor and a 500cfm Holley two-barrel carby. A factory dual outlet manifold, single 2.5" system exhaust and electronic ignition complete the picture. In addition the Pacer received all new suspension, brakes and steering componentry.
The interior also was fully restored with new black seat skins, door cards, carpet and dash pad plus a new 3 spoke steering wheel. In addition, the instrument gauges were professionally recalibrated.
Open the boot and there is a boot mat and a W35 spare wheel. And the Pacer rides on factory W35 alloys with 14" x 7" wheels shod in 235/60R14 BF Goodrich T/A tyres.
The Pacer comes with a huge portfolio of photos including how it looked when purchased from NSW in 2018, around 300 photos of the body restoration work, paint prep and reassembly plus engine build photos. There is also a receipt file supplied with the Pacer.
Rarely found nowadays, this is a great survivor level Valiant Pacer that is a super reliable driver and a head turner to boot.
Whether you're reliving memories or making new ones, this is a wonderful opportunity to do so in one fully sorted Aussie Valiant Pacer.
For your private inspection from Perth, WA. (Ref. 6845)
And if you like we will gladly arrange a video inspection/road test of the car using WhatsApp and of course there is no issue with door to door freight delivery anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
