1969 CHRYSLER VALIANT VF for sale
Price: $58,000
The Chrysler VF Valiant Pacer was only ever built as a four-door sedan, but a run of 20 Pacer Station Wagons (designated with the prefix VF7-S-45) were specially built. This is an unique opportunity to purchase a very rare - Build No. 4 of only 20 VF Pacer wagons ever made. These were not available to the general public. Rather they were made as a limited vehicle run, mostly for senior engineering employees of Chrysler Australia. For sale from Williamstown, VIC.
One of only 5 known to survive, this Little Hood Riding Red VF Pacer Station Wagon was originally bought new by a private photographer who was contracted by Chrysler to photograph their new dealerships. Through his "connections" he was able to order this rare Valiant. The current owner bought the Pacer from the original owners son about 20 years ago. The Pacer has been in long term, dry storage ever since.
The VF Pacer presents in good maintained condition following a 2 pack respray approximately 20 years ago. The paint is still shiny but does have some scratches and cracked paint as you would expect of a 20+ year old paint job. The body is in good shape with the only visible rust being in the bottom of the RHF guard and the LH rear quarter. All the usual "problem areas" of Valiant wagons (tailgate, tailgate opening, gutter and side windows) appear rust free.
It has a super nice set of Pacer hubcaps. The current owner has not touched the body work in his twenty years of ownership. The interior is good with the seats in nice, presentable condition. It has great door trims and arms rest pads/bases.
Mechanically the Pacer features a 225 Slant Six engine and 3 speed manual gearbox. The car starts first time and the motor is strong and runs smooth. The clutch and gearbox operate as expected. The braking system needs an overhaul.
Build No. 4 of the 20 Pacer Wagons ever built features the original Victorian number plates KHG-061, nicely completing the story of this very original and extremely rare MOPAR offering. A must have collector car for the Chrysler enthusiast or Pacer collector. Imagine this on display at Chryslers on the Murray!
Available for your inspection in Williamstown, VIC. (Ref. 6863)
And if you like, we will gladly arrange a video inspection/road test of the car using WhatsApp and of course there is no issue with door to door transport anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
