The Shelby GT350R is a racing machine, pure and simple. It's special hand built 5.2 Litre DOHC TI-VCT V8 engine is naturally aspirated and produces a whopping 526 Hp at 8,250RPM. The internals include forged aluminium pistons, forged steel flat plane crankshaft, forged i-beam rods, a high flow dual exhaust with X-pipe and dual mode mufflers. Gears are swapped through a Tremec 3160 6 speed manual gearbox and the GT350 R rides on 19-inch carbon-fiber wheels, wrapped in Michelin® Pilot® Sport Cup 2 racing tyres. To save on weight, the GT350R deletes the rear seat, floor mats, tyre inflator and sealant kit and USB port. There's a fully integrated roll bar system with fire extinguisher and the GT350R features an unique carbon-fiber rear wing, a larger front splitter and unique chassis tuning that allows this Mustang to handle both road and track applications.

In signature Orange Fury Metallic, GT350R Build No. 154 was purchased new by the enthusiast owner through Dixie Ford in Toronto, Canada and imported in 2021 on his return to Australia. It was then sent to Mustang Motorsport Crossover Conversions in Melbourne and professionally converted to RHD at a cost of over $52,000. In addition, the Shelby has received a full body wrap to protect the stunning paint finish. The GT350R has covered a genuine 6,045 Klms from new and is supplied with the original sales invoice from Dixie Ford, all the original log books and manuals, two sets of keys with Dixie Ford key rings, the receipt for the Crossover Conversion to RHD, service receipts since new and a framed individually numbered GT350R giant poster as well as a framed factory build sheet.

On the inside, the GT350R is presented in as new condition and features the Shelby Alcantara steering wheel, body hugging Recaro sports seats, an unique glove box build plate, integrated full roll cage and fire extinguisher system, Infotainment system, air conditioning and Normal, Sport, Track and Dragstrip drive mode control. The Recaro seats feature high-contrast red stitching and the D-shaped steering wheel is fitted with a red center mark at the top.

Interestingly, the GT350R comes with carbon fiber wheels, that Shelby sourced from Australian manufacturer Carbon Revolution. These wheels weigh only 8 kg each compared to similarly specified aluminum wheels which typically weigh 15 kg each. Aside from carbon fiber wheels, larger front splitter and rear wing, the Shelby features red painted brake calipers and Shelby GT350R badging.

Significant engineering innovations, weight savings and aerodynamic improvements combined with the awesome power of the 526 horsepower (392 kW) naturally aspirated 5.2 L V8 combine to deliver zero to 100 km/h acceleration of 4.2 seconds and a maximum speed of 277 km/h. Bloody quick in anyone's language. Or just crank it over on your drive way and listen to that awesome exhaust note. Word of warning. You're going to annoy the neighbours.
