For sale is a ONE OWNER fully documented 1976 LX Torana SS Hatch in Cotillion White with Slate back golf ball trim. A factory 5 Litre auto, this SS comes with all Holden and dealership  paperwork/Logbooks and is available for viewing from our Sydney Showroom. 

According to the log books, this Torana SS was sold through Nash Holden of Canterbury Bankstown, NSW and delivered in May, 1976. The SS was re-painted in 2000 in 2 Pack on a rust and damage free body. The car also features the original style silver and black SS striping on the flanks.

In 2025, the SS was recommissioned and treated to a new water pump, fuel pump, radiator core, all hoses replaced, inlet manifold machined, original Rochester carb overhauled + tuned, all bushes + worn ball joints replaced and the car wheel aligned.

4 new tyres were fitted and the braking system overhauled with a reconditioned big nut master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, rear shoes and brake lines. 

The interior received a retrim to the front seats using genuine Holden materials, new carpet and sunvisors in 2000 . All the gauges work and this SS is still fitted with the original AM radio, seat belts, an original spare wheel, particle board and factory jack.

Mechanically the car is supplied with the original matching numbers HT prefixed 5 Litre V8 and Trimatic automatic. In the 1980s the original motor was bored .40 thou, heads machined and fitted with a mild cam and fully balanced and set aside with the original Trimatic gearbox. The owner chose to preserve the original running gear and replace the motor with a period correct Holden 5.0L V8 from a HJ Statesman rebuilt to 40 thou with 9.7:1 pistons, Yella Terra heads + roller rockers, fully balanced and blue printed and running a rebuilt Turbo 350 gearbox fitted with a transmission cooler, extractors + dual exhaust with free‑flow mufflers. 

All the glass is original except for the windscreen. 

Riding on the original 13" Torana steel wheels and genuine mint hub caps with new Nankang 185x70R13 all round. 

This stunning LX SS Torana comes with the original log books, owners manual, Radio manual, original keys, Torana new car brochure and colour selector chart plus the Endrust certification.
