For sale is a quality maintained example of the XB GT Falcon. Presented in Tropic Gold with Tutone Blackout Bonnet, this 1975 XB GT features the matching numbers 351 2V Cleveland, the smooth shifting FMX auto gearbox and the factory 9" LSD. 

The car is in original maintained condition with a closed door respray in 2 pak in the 90's. The engine bay, boot and door jambs are day one original paint. This GT is an extremely clean rust and damage free example. The GT has been a country Victorian car for the past 40 years and this has protected it perfectly. 

According to the Ford build documents, this GT is one of 1,930 XB GT Falcons built, one of 1,013 automatic XB GTs and one of 89 Tropic Gold examples. According to the Ford letter of verification, this GT was factory optioned with the Protection Pack, Power Steering and a Heated Backlite. The Ford option code 04 - Protection Pack included bumper overriders, side protection and the desirable chrome bumpers front and back.   

Mechanically, the car runs strongly. In maintained condition, the GT is running a Holley 650 DP spread bore carby, stainless Pacemaker extractors with full stainless exhaust front to back, upgraded Scorcher electronic distributor factory fan shroud, reconditioned FOMOCO radiator, air cleaner and rocker covers. The GT is fitted with a single electronic fan but the mechanical fan is supplied. A super reliable easy to drive GT with plenty of power and a proven long range tourer. The GT has been fitted with a new starter motor, new wiring loom and a recent full mechanical service. You will note the factory error in the stamping of the shock tower.

The interior is day one original and the front seats have been covered with sheep skin covers for the past 36 years resulting in the perfect condition of the original factory saddle seats. The original dash, gauges, steering wheel are all present and accounted for. The GT is currently fitted with a SAAS sports steering wheel. The Falcon has been fitted with a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player and factory power steering. The GT is showing 247,800 Kilometres from new. 

Open the boot and there is a boot carpet, spare and factory tools. The GT is riding on a set of 15" Simmons 2 piece 5 spoke alloy mags with 15" 225/60R15 Bridgestone tyres all round. 

The GT comes with a letter of Verification from Ford, the original rim blow steering wheel, air cleaner assembly and 2 sets of original keys. 

The XB GT Falcon was the last of the original GTs and to many is considered the best road going Grand Tourer. Gone were the wild stripes and Super Roo badging and in their place was a well rounded more sophisticated Ford road car.
