Now for sale is this gorgeous, super rare '71 XY Fairmont in Yellow Glo with Black interior, factory ordered GS Rallyee Pack, factory ordered 351 K code, running it's matching numbers 351 2V Cleveland, and further optioned with FMX Cruisomatic T-Bar automatic, 9" LSD diff, GOLDE WIND BACK SUNROOF, power steering, Remote Sports R/V Mirror and dealer fitted 8 track Radio/Stereo and sun visor. One of the best XY GSs we have seen and certainly a one-off special order Ford.

Originally sold through Kinghorn Ford in Nowra, NSW the Fairmont features some original paint with some touch ups in areas. The paint in the door jambs, boot and engine bay is factory original and the XY presents with a perfect rust and accident free body. The car has never been pulled apart, the body is dead straight and the doors open and close perfectly. The factory black GS stripes look amazing against the Yellow Glo paint. And the original GS hub caps are in excellent condition as is the rest of the chrome and stainless.

Open the doors and the original Black trim is in excellent condition too, with the factory 140 MPH speedo and 8,000 RPM tacho framed by the original rim blow GS steering wheel. The car retains its original seats trims, door cards, seat belts, dash facia and console. And wait until you wind back that awesome GOLDE sunroof. You'll feel the cares of the world just wash away. The GS is also fitted with genuine driving lights, Lucas heated rear window, rear venetian, driver side weather shield and petrol cap spill guard.

Slip the FMX T-Bar automatic gearbox into Drive and listen to the burble of the big V8 from those twin factory exhaust pipes. There's plenty of power under your right foot with the K-code spec 250bhp on tap running through a factory LSD 9 inch rear. And with only 108,761 genuine miles from new, this XY GS is barely run in.

Mechanically the car has been fully maintained and runs perfectly.

Open the boot and there is an original boot mat, dealer fitted 36 gallon fuel tank and factory tools.
